Knox County juveniles charged in string of rock-throwing damage incidents across multiple communities

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office has charged several juveniles in connection with a series of criminal damage incidents in which rocks, bricks, and other objects were thrown at homes and vehicles across multiple communities.

The incidents caused broken windows, damaged vehicles, and significant property damage in Knoxville, Galesburg, and Warren County during 2024 and 2025.

Detectives identified a pattern of coordinated activity among the juveniles through a months-long investigation, the Sheriff’s Office said. Charges include multiple counts of criminal damage to property and related offenses.

The Sheriff’s Office is not releasing the names of those charged due to Illinois juvenile confidentiality laws.
