The Galesburg High School Class of 2026 graduation ceremony has been moved indoors to Thiel Gymnasium due to predicted weather conditions.
The ceremony was originally scheduled to be held outdoors at CBI Bank & Trust Stadium on the GHS campus, but has been moved indoors to Thiel Gymnasium. It is set for 1 p.m. Sunday, May 24.
Because of indoor seating capacity limits, all guests must present a physical ticket at the door for entrance.
The school posted the announcement on its Facebook page Friday morning.
“We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we move inside to ensure a safe, dry, and comfortable celebration for our graduates,” the post read.
For those unable to attend, a live stream link will be shared Sunday morning on the school’s official social media pages.
