PRAIRIE LAND CONSERVANCY “8th Annual Dinner Meeting” – Registration

The Prairie Land Conservancy invites the public to their “8th Annual Dinner Meeting” on Tuesday March 21, 2017. The event is open to the public to learn what their local land conservancy has done for 2016 for natural area and habitat protection, and hear about projects and events that will be held in 2017. A local civil rights activist will share his story about the 1960 civil rights movement.
The dinner meeting will begin at 5:15 pm at the Macomb Country Club, 20 Hickory Grove, Macomb, IL. The featured guest speaker, Lyle Johnson, will present his historical account of being a civil rights activist marching with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the Chicago Freedom Movement. The cost of the dinner is $20 per person with a choice of Chicken Cacciatore or Jack Daniels Pork Filet.
Directions to the event: from either US 136 East or West to North US 67-Lafayette St, turn right onto E. University Dr, then turn left onto N. Randolph St, and right onto Hickory Grove. From the north: US-67 S, turn left onto E. University Dr, and then left onto N. Randolph St, and right onto Hickory Grove.
