Oneida Sweet Corn Festival

The Oneida Sweet Corn Festival will be held in downtown Oneida this Saturday, July 28. The event will feature a full day of free entertainment for all ages and delicious food, including locally grown sweet corn.
A few highlights include the day beginning at 6:30 am with the Oneida-Wataga Fire Department Breakfast at the Oneida Fire Department. The Greig Memorial 5K begins at 8:00 am and at 9:00 am an Air Evac Helicopter will land. The 9th Annual Oneida Car Show and craft and vendor fair will run from 9:00- 3:00 pm. The parade steps off at 11:00 and from 11:00- 1:00 pm enjoy lunch from the Knox County Pork Producers, as well as free locally grown sweetcorn provided by generous donors. Krista Swanson, Oneida resident and coordinator of this year’s event said, ”We are excited to host another Sweetcorn Festival in Oneida. This event is fueled by a strong desire to see growth and continued success in Oneida and our surrounding areas. Our town loves this event because it promotes community engagement, brings people together and allows us to celebrate our strong agricultural heritage.”
This family-friendly event will also include kids games from 9:00-11:00 am. During this time raffle tickets can be purchased for a chance to win a brand new Polaris Ranger Battery Powered Kids Ride On. Only 50 tickets are available and the drawing will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 28. Additionally, children in attendance can ride on a sweetcorn train.
Swanson added, “We are proud to hold this event in Oneida and hope many others from our community and surrounding communities will join us for a day of fun and celebration.”
