The GHS Silver Streaks Boys basketball team suffered their first loss tonight(12/19) against the Bettendorf Bulldogs at Augustana College for the Iowa/Illinois Shootout 60-49. The Silver Streaks started out with a 18-15 lead to end the 1st quarter and went into halftime leading 30-26. But after leaving the locker room they just couldn’t seem to maintain their lead. This loss makes the Streaks 8-1 for the season while the Bulldogs move to 3-3.
Our Dave’s Autobody Crunchtime Player of the Game was Cody Hawthorne who had 3 points and 3 rebounds, all of which he got in the 4th quarter. Other players to mention would be Ethan Meeker who had 16 points and 8 rebounds and Jarret Olson who added 11 points.
