LOS ANGELES (AP)– NBA star Derrick Rose says he’s thankful that a Los Angeles jury rejected a rape lawsuit against him and two friends.
Rose says in a statement to The Associated Press that it was important to prove he did not do what he was accused of, even though he had to share private details of his personal life.
The jury returned its verdict Wednesday afternoon in Los Angeles.
Rose says he’s ready to put the case behind him and to focus on his family and career.
