Galesburg Silver Streaks Girls Basketball vs Alleman Pioneers

Here’s a re-cap of tonight’s game from WGIL’s Tom Meredith:

The Galesburg Silver Streaks win on Senior night as they defeat the Alleman Pioneers 54-21. The Streaks are now 19-5 on the season and they are 4-2 in the Western Big 6 Conference.

The 4 seniors were our co-Dave’s Autobody Crunchtime Players of the Game , who were Kaylah Townsell who led the way with 16 points, 3 threes, 3 twos, and also went 1 for 1 from the line, pulled down 3 rebounds and had 3 assists. Saige Milroy had 14 ponts with 4 three pointers, went 2 for 2 from the line, had 3 rebounds and 4 assists. Kylee Townsell and Ellen Junk had 2 points as well.

Galesburg shot the ball 20 for 48 from the field but the big thing was that they only turned the ball over 7 times in the game with a big advantage on the rebounding side of things as well.

The Streaks will be back in action on Saturday when they will have 2 games to wrap up the Martin Luther King tournament and will play Champaign-Saint Thomas Moore at noon and Bloomington at 6:30.
