Patricia A. Filson, 72, of Williamsfield died at 2:40 A.M. on Friday, April 21, 2017 at her home in Williamsfield.
Patricia was born on January 17, 1945, the daughter of Willis and Evelyn (Fox) West in Galesburg, Illinois. She married Paul D. Filson on March 7, 1961 in Galesburg, Illinois. He preceded her in death on July 26, 2015.
She worked for the Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville, Illinois as a CNA for over twenty years until her retirement. Patricia loved to cook and bake. She also enjoyed spending time camping, mowing and gardening.
Surviving is a son, Phillip R. Filson of Laura, Illinois; a daughter, Peggy (Mark) Campbell of Elmwood, Illinois; five grandchildren, Brandi (Tim) Daugherty, Joshua (Anna) Filson, Amanda (Alex) Yerkey, Curtis Campbell, and Kimberly Campbell; four great-grandchildren, Eric and Alyson Daugherty, Cameron Yerkey and Wyatt Filson and one sister, Carol Hager of Knoxville, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Paul E. “Gene” Filson and two brothers, Ronald and Wayne West.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. on Monday, April 24, 2017 at Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville. Rev. Chet Travis will officiate. Burial will be at the Williamsfield Cemetery in Williamsfield, Illinois. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude`s.
