
Governor Bruce Rauner Thursday called lawmakers back to Springfield, in the form of a “continuous special session” starting next week and running until the end of the state’s fiscal year, June 30. The move comes a day after GOP House and Senate lawmakers hold a press conference to announce they’re filing what they called a “bi-partisan” and “balanced” budget proposal, building off the work they claim the Senate did in the days of the so-called “grand bargain” budget deal.
