
Cecil A. Kellar, Sr., 61, of Galesburg, Illinois died 10:40 a.m. Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, Illinois.
He was born May 8, 1956 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Harry and Jessie Huffstutter Kellar. He married Barbara Morris. He later married Chris Needham July 30, 2004 in Galesburg. She survives.
Also surviving is a daughter Jessica Garza of Pontiac, Illinois, two step sons, James Earp of Galesburg and Cody Earp of Bloomington, Illinois, a brother Henry (and Penny) Kellar of Ottumwa, Iowa, three sisters, Joanne Lowe of Keota, Iowa, Juanita (and Terry) Belcher of East Peoria, Illinois and Mary (and Ronnie) Price of Hedrick, Iowa, four grandchildren, Janessa, Justin, Chi Ayn and Cooper, a great grandchild Bentley and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Cecil A. Kellar, Jr. on May 27, 2015 and three sisters, Lillian Kopp, Rosie Essary and Peggy Sykes.
Cecil work as the Auto Center Manager at Sears in Galesburg, Peoria and Bloomington most of his career. He also worked for Tires Plus in Peoria, Neal Tire and Battery in Washington, Illinos and Yemm Chevrolet in Galesburg. He was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He loved his family and friends especially his fellow biker brothers and the Scalawags Brotherhood.
Graveside service will be 12 noon Friday September 15, 2017 at Ottumwa Cemetery, Ottumwa, Iowa. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
