M-R Titans Boys Golf team places third in quad meet

Monmouth-Roseville met up with Rockridge, St. Bede, and Sherrard yesterday for a quad and placed third. 

Rockridge claimed first shooting a 162, while St. Bede combined for a 166 while the Titans shot a 168 and Sherrard had a 169.

Carson Hall led the Rockets and earned medalist honors shooting a 34.

Monmouth-Roseville’s Nick Corman shot a 38 to lead the Titans.

 

AREA BOYS GOLF
The Mid-County Cougars edged the United Red Storm 171-175.

Mason Keiser led the Cougars and earned medalist honors shooting a 38.

Cale Attaway carded a 43 and Matt Graves followed up with 44.

United’s Zach Marshall led the Red Storm with a 414, while Evan Wynne shot a 43 and Dhylan Hepner a 44.

Williamsfield defeated Orion 166-177.

Medalist honors went to the Bombers’ Austin Larson who shot for par with a 35.

 

VOLLEYBALL
Abingdon-Avon swept Busnell Prairie City 25-11, 25-22.

A-Town’s Payton Florine led the Tornados with seven kills and racked up 15 service points.

Ridgewood defeated Galva in three sets: 25-15, 24-26, 25-14
West Central rolled Stark County 25-17, 25-13

 

COLLEGE
WOMEN’S SOCCER
University of Dubuque edged Monmouth 1-0.

The game was scoreless at the half before the Spartans put one in the back of the net two minutes into the second.

Dubuque out-shot Monmouth 13-8

 

MEN’S SOCCER
The Fighting Scots shutout the Eureka Red Devils last night 3-0.

Augustin Miranda scored seven minutes into the match and Adam Stenzel added a second just 20 minutes later.

Johnathon Spencer added the final at the 57th minute to put salt in the wounds.
