Galesburg Silver Streaks Girls Basketball vs LaSalle-Peru

Game Recap

The Galesburg Silver Streak Girls defeated The LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers 58-13  in the first of two games at The MLK Tournament at Thiel Gymnasium.    Galesburg jumped out to a 19-4 lead at the end of the first quarter, in fact, The Cavaliers did not score in double figures in any quarter.  Emily Miner lead the way for The Streaks with 13 points along with Senior Rylee Chockley coming off of the bench and adding a career high 13 pojnts to match Emily by hitting three three-pointers and going 3 for 5 from behind the arc.  The Streaks had their first game of the season with less than 10 turnovers, having 8 turnovers today.  They out rebounded LaSalle-Peru 29-24 and shot 44% from the field and better than 50% from behind the arc.   Our Dave’s Autobody Crunch-Time Player of the Game was Rylee Chockley.
