
Cecil W. Oyler 79 of Avon died at his home August 24, 2018, at 8:16 a.m. He was born in Avon, IL March 18, 1939, the son of Charles Bessie Irene (Kilburn) Oyler. He married Pearl Jean Roberts June 11, 1961, at the Greenbush Christian Church. Cecil is survived by his wife of Avon, his children Debra (Paul) Branch and Tammy (Scott) Butler Four Granddaughters Ambor Gibson of San Diego CA, Malerie McDonald of London Mills, Brittany Dugger of popular Bluff MO, and Megan Butler- Phillips of Little River SC. Seven Great grandchildren, One brother Clarence Oyler two sisters Mildred McDermit and Barbara Bernhart. He was preceded in death by his parents 1 brother Charles. Cecil worked and retired from Briggs Pottery with 38 years. He was President of the Union there. He served as a 1st Ward Alderman in Abingdon. He was President of the Blue Bonnet Association in Mission TX. He worked for Jerry Brown on the farm for 7 years. Cecil was a member of the Bushnell Christian Church. He enjoyed hunting and fish. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at the Bushnell Christian Church. Rev. John Simmons will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to the Service. Cremation rites will be accorded after the Service. Memorials may be made to the Bushnell Christian Church.
