CHICAGO (AP) – Murder charges have been filed against a man accused of fatally shooting Chicago two teens after they asked him how tall he was. Authorities say 19-year-old Laroy Battle allegedly shot the teens on the Saturday during a weekend that saw more than 100 people wounded by gunfire and 14 killed. Detective Brendan Deenihan said Thursday that 17-year-old Jesean Francis and 16-year-old Charles Riley, along with a friend, encountered Battle at a store. Deenihan says the teens asked the 6-foot-3 Battle about his height and expressed the hope they would grow to be as tall. As the three teens walked home, Battle allegedly shot two of them as they walked in an alley.
