Marjorie C. Bower, 83, of Bettendorf, IA, formerly of Roseville, Il. died at 6:25 am, Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at her home.
She was born July 15, 1937, in Berwick, IL the daughter of Harlan Ray and Mabel (Icenogle) Hiet. She was raised and educated in Berwick and Warren County.
Marjorie married Don Aden in Monmouth on March 27, 1955, and later married Larry G. Bower at the First Christian Church in Galesburg, IL on Jan. 27, 1968 and he died Aug. 3, 2013.
Marjorie was a homemaker and raised her family, she also worked at Maytag for 4 years.
She attended the Roseville Christian Church and enjoyed traveling and square dancing
Survivors include; 2 daughters, Christine (Tina) Aden of Bettendorf, IA, and Cathleen (Joe) Romano of Monmouth; 2 sons, Craig Aden and Kevin (Missy) Bower of Ankeny, IA; 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; and her fur baby Koda.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter, Megan Bower; 3 brothers, Gene Hiett, Chester Hiet, and Robert Hiet.
Graveside services will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at the Berwick Cemetery. Cremation has been accorded. Memorials may be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Peoria.
