On Saturday, August 22nd around 11:30 pm, Galesburg police conducted a self-initiated bar check at the Grand Tap in Galesburg. While standing outside speaking with the bar’s owner, 18-year old Diele Jones of Galesburg exited the bar. Police recognized Jones from previous encounters and knew he was under 21. He was placed under arrest of OV-Trespassing and transported to the Knox County Jail. Once inside the Grand Tap, officers observed 18-year old Lamar Ticer speaking with bar patrons. Officers knew Ticer from previous encounters. Officers informed bar management that Ticer was under-aged and management advised police they wished to have him arrested. Ticer was arrested for OV-Trespassing and transported to the Knox County Jail where he was processed and released.
