73-year-old killed in single vehicle crash in McDonough Co.

An Adair man has died after a single-vehicle accident along US 136 in McDonough County.

The Illinois State Police are reporting that 73-year-old David Parsano was killed Wednesday morning at around 6:10 when his westbound vehicle struck a utility pole between the community of Adair and Table Grove.

A preliminary investigation indicates that the 2004 Blue Mercury being driven by Parsano crossed the eastbound lane of traffic and ran off the roadway.

The vehicle continued into the south side ditch and struck the pole.

Also injured in the crash was the vehicle’s passenger: 70-year-old Donald Parsano of Vermont, Illinois. He was taken to a local area hospital with undisclosed injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
