The Galesburg Community Foundation announced the local nonprofit organizations receiving grants through the annual Turnout Grant Cycle.

The Turnout Grant Cycle combines dollars from community donors who hold charitable funds at the Community Foundation along with dollars from the foundation’s Impact Fund to fully fund nonprofit proposals providing services to the region.

Tiffany Springer, the Foundation’s Director of Grants and Programs, says that the foundation was able to fully fund 88 percent of the proposals received.

“The Turnout connects generous community donors with local nonprofits providing valuable resources across our service area. The ultimate goal of The Turnout is to empower our local nonprofits to tell their stories of impact and ask specifically for what they need to make their important work happen,” said Springer in a news release on Tuesday. “The grants awarded in this cycle support exciting and important initiatives provided by our nonprofits including programming, operations, and capacity needs that strengthen our local communities.”

In total, 37 non-profits received full funding for proposals submitted during the grant cycle thanks to generous fundholders and community supporters.
