9-Year-Old Junk 4 Jingles Founder Hard At Work For Other Kids

Baylie Mayfield appreciates the life she has and things she’s acquired in her 9 years. She decided, as an 8-year-old, that she wanted all kids to be as happy as she is on Christmas morning. Baylie started Junk 4 Jingles. She collects junk scrap metal, turns it in for cash and buys presents for children on the Salvation Army Angel Tree. With the help of her little sister Harper, her parents Eric and Bridgette Mayfield and her grandfathers, she’s on her way to be able to buy gifts for 100 children this year. Baylie and family joined Tom Meredith and Tyler Gumm on “Galesburg’s Morning News” to talk about her quest.

You contact them with a scrap metal or monetary donation at (309) 351-9520. You can also contact them on their Facebook page Junk for Jingles.
