Five individuals were indicted last week on drug dealing offenses after the Knox County Grand Jury was convened.
According to Knox County State’s Attorney Jeremy Karlin, 27-year-old Byron Williams, 24-year-old Britney Fields, and 39-year-old Amy Gerstenberger were indicted on a charge of unlawful delivery of methamphetamine.
31-year-old Christopher Rupert and 24-year-old Jordan Keller were indicted on a large number of charges, including Armed Violence, Possession of Meth with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance (LSD) with intent to deliver, and unlawful possession of cocaine.
Karlin says that warrants were issued for all five individuals and they were arrested by Galesburg Police on Friday, March 4.
He says the indictments were a result of the work done by a multi-jurisdictional task force that includes Galesburg Police, Knox County Sheriff’s Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Karlin says the task force was formed to investigate organized crime and large level illegal drug trafficking in Knox County.
