The Knox County Treasurer is reminding residents that year’s second installment of real estate taxes is due soon. Sept. 7th is the deadline for which payments have to be turned into dropbox or postmarked if it’s coming through the mail. The Treasurer’s Office is located at the Knox County Courthouse with office hours between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., although they will be closed for Labor Day. Most major credit and debit cards can be used if you pay at knoxtreasurer.org or by phone with a fee applied to the taxpayer. The same fees apply if you’re going to pay in person. Payments are also accepted at all Knox County banks except Wells Fargo per their request, through Sept. 7.
