The Galesburg Silver Streaks girls basketball team got the win against the Springfield Senators Saturday night in the Galesburg Thanksgiving Shootout, 56-29. The Streaks are 2-0 on the season.
In the 3rd quarter especially, the Senators had no answer as to how to stop Kiarra Kilgore, who scored 11 points in that quarter alone. Kiarra was named the Dave's Autobody Crunch Time Player of the Game.
The GHS girls basketball team has their first Western Big 6 conference game of the season coming up Tuesday (11/21) night when they travel to Sterling. Tom Meredith and Erik Gibson will bring you live coverage starting with the pregame at 6:40pm on 93.7 FM and 1400 AM, WGIL.
