The newest home of Graham Health System operations in Galesburg is officially opening Monday.
That’s according to CEO Bob Senneff, who tells Galesburg’s Morning News on WGIL it’s the facility just built on North Seminary Street near Burger King, which will have a number of uses.
Located there will be “convenient care, primary care, specialty care, an imaging center, an endoscopy center,” said Senneff. “We’ve got multiple (construction) phases planned for that site. So, we’ll have two more buildings on that site over the next couple years.”
That’s when, Senneff says, some of the services provided at Graham’s two other locations along North Seminary Street will be shifted to the new facility, and other services will replace them in their old sites.
Senneff says the clinic slated to open on part of the former Galesburg Rescue Mission property in Galesburg’s southern section will do so in October.
“The new building that opens next Monday will literally be open seven days a week, 12 hours a day,” said Senneff. “A portion of that clinic at the main entrance will be our convenient care, staffed by nurse practitioners and physician assistants. And that’s seven days a week, 12 hours a day. Then, we’ll have clinics on the both side of that building.”
Senneff says the clinic at the former Rescue Mission property will only be open five days a week.
The expansion work, which is continuing over the next several years, is part of $10 million worth of work being done in Galesburg by the Canton-based system. Senneff says the city, through the mayor, city manager, and community development director have been very helpful, and very easy to work with.
