Kara Downin, resource conservationist with Knox County Soil and Water Conservation District, joined WGIL's Tyler Gumm and Jay Redfern on Galesburg's Morning News to highlight upcoming events and programs, including:

  • Sanford Scholarship application
  • Spring sales (tree seedlings, native seed, fish, native plant plugs)
  • Available cost-share to seal abandoned water wells – searching for a location to be our 2025 demonstration site

    • 75% cost share, up to $500 per dug well and $750 per drilled well

  • Kickapoo Creek Watershed Open House
