TRIAD: Improving and securing the lives of Knox County seniors

Knox County TRIAD for Senior Citizens works to improve the quality of life for senior citizens by providing the exchange of information between law enforcement and persons aged 60 or older.

Kimberley Jenkins,  a Knox County Sheriff’s Office deputy and the coordinator of the program, joined WGIL's Tyler Gumm and Jay Redfern to talk about TRIAD.

Among the services TRIAD offers are:

  • Focus on senior citizen welfare and safety, including home checks of seniors.
  • Safety provisions, such as smoke alarms, File of Life sheets and lock boxes.
  • Combating social isolation
  • Dinner with a Deputy/Supper with the Sheriff raffle
