Continuing the Legacy: Dwayne Bayer takes ownership of Bates Collision

The latest episode of Galesburg in Focus introduces Dwayne Bayer, the new owner of Bates Collision Center. Dwayne takes over from Steve and Patsy Bates, who built the business and its great reputation.

Bayer is excited to continue the legacy and the small-town, mom-and-pop feel of the business, which is centered around taking care of employees and customers. He emphasizes that the relationships are the complex and important part of the business..

Bates will hold a Customer Appreciation Day on Saturday, May 3, at the shop located at 799 E. Main St. in Galesburg. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.. Attendees can enjoy a free taco from Shawdaddy's. It's an opportunity to tour the shop, see the repair process, and meet the team. Free safety glasses will also be given out for adults and kids.
