Taste of Galesburg previews 39th year of food, fun

In this episode of WGIL’s Galesburg’s Morning News, organizers Angela Simpson and Kraig Boynton preview the 39th annual Taste of Galesburg, set for Thursday, July 17, 2025, showcasing 14 local restaurants and vendors in the downtown street festival. From tacos to pizza, live music to free kids’ activities, Angela and Kraig share details on new entrances due to Simmons Street construction, the token system, and the event’s community spirit.

Culinary Diversity: 14 vendors.

Event Logistics: Starts at 4 p.m.. $5 admission (free for kids under 12), cash-only tokens ($1 each), and new entrances at Seminary/Simmons and Main Street due to construction.

Entertainment and Activities: Live music from Pippi & Daniel (4–6:30 p.m.) and 28 Days (6:30 p.m.), plus free face painting and Discovery Depot activities for kids.
