Galesburg Booster Club Unveils First Draw Down Fundraiser

On this episode of Galesburg's Morning News on WGIL Radio, we talked with Aaron Furrow, President of the Galesburg Athletic Booster Club, and Mindi Ritchie, District 205 Assistant Superintendent, detailing the Booster Club’s inaugural Draw Down fundraiser.

Set for Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, at Cedar Creek Hall, 571 E. North St., Galesburg, the event runs from a social hour with food trucks at 6- 7 p.m., followed by the main event from 7-10 p.m.

Draw Down

With only 150 tickets at $150 each—each admitting two people—attendees can win part of an $11,000 prize pool through a reverse-drawing format, with proceeds targeting $25,000 to $40,000 through ticket sales, a live "experience" auction featuring GHS-related prizes like preferential parking and a "Streak swag basket," plus ancillary raffles and student-baked goods.

The funds will enhance GHS athletic programs and facilities, funding projects like new weight room equipment and facility branding beyond the district budget, with community support bolstered by membership drives.

To get tickets, contact the GHS Athletic Department.
