Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers opens Monday, March 30, at 1597 N. Henderson St. in Galesburg — bringing the fast-casual chain’s cooked-to-order menu to a location WGIL first reported on last year.
The 3,080 square-foot freestanding restaurant seats 84 guests indoors, with additional patio seating and drive-thru service. Mobile ordering is also available through the Freddy’s app and website.
Hours are 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Freddy’s is known for cooked-to-order steakburgers made with lean 100% ground beef, all-beef hot dogs, crispy shoestring fries, and frozen custard treats made with freshly churned chocolate or vanilla frozen custard.

Freddy’s is a fast-casual franchise concept with more than 580 locations across the United States and Canada. It was founded in Wichita, Kansas, in 2002. The Galesburg location is operated by MLY Investments, which operates 11 Freddy’s locations across Iowa and Illinois.
“We have two popular specialty orders we regularly recommend to first-time guests: the Freddy’s Original Double and the Signature Turtle Sundae,” said Young. “We also offer a variety of limited-time menu items throughout each year.”
