Behind the curtain: Exploring Knox College’s Rep Term

Have you heard of Rep Term? If not, Rep Term is Knox College's longest running immersive term. Students spend an entire term forming a repertory theater company, and their work culminates in rotating performances of two shows. Students engage in all facets of theater work, from the stage to behind the scenes.

Rep Term is the only undergraduate theater program in the United States that embeds academic study of theater within the experience of forming a repertory company that produces two fully staged productions.

Knox College student representatives Hazel Caroll, Mei Zuch, Kamana’okekai Lattig and Scott Andersen joined WGIL's Tyler Gumm and Jay Redfern on Galesburg's Morning News to talk about Rep Term.

Performances include:

She Kills Monsters by Qui Nguyen (Harbach Theatre)

Directed by Liz Carlin Metz

A D&D Adventure to recover the Lost Soul of Athens and discover oneself along the way.

Antigone from Sophocles adapted by Jean Anouilh and translated by Jeremy Sams (Studio Theatre)

Directed by Deana Nichols

A young woman risks death to place honor and family above the unreasonable edicts of authority.

Performances resume Tuesday through Saturday.
