Cancer diagnosis? You don’t have to face it alone

Being diagnosed with cancer can be overwhelming, but you don't have to face the journey alone. A pair of experts with OSF HealthCare in Galesburg and Monmouth join us to discuss what is offered locally.

Jennifer Eldridge, Medical Imaging Manager at OSF HealthCare St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg and OSF HealthCare Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth, talks about the importance of cancer screenings to detect potential health problems before they become more serious or symptomatic. These screenings aim to identify conditions at nearly age, allowing for timely intervention and treatment. She focuses on low-dose lung cancer screenings and how early detection can improve outcomes by 50%.

Mike Mercer, Manager of Radiation Oncology at OSF HealthCare St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg , talks about the new linear accelerator as part of a project to bring radiation oncology to OSF St. Mary.
