Maple Avenue Fire Station: Slated for discussion on Aug. 18, the 100-year-old vacant station faces costly renovations, with limited outside interest due to its age and location challenges.

Galesburg Business Park Project: A $55 million grain export project involves BNSF rail integration. used to install essential rail track and switching at the Galesburg Business Park, paving the way for a large containerized agricultural terminal that will facilitate the loading and shipping of regionally-produced agricultural commodities to west coast ports.

National Night Out: On August 5 from 5-7 p.m. at Standish Park, this event offers Kona Ice, K9 and drone demos, and family activities to strengthen police-community ties, with over two dozen organizations participating.
