Elizabeth Varner talks to WGIL about parks, projects and programs

Galesburg Parks and Recreation doesn’t get any less busy in the Fall and Winter, and Parks and Rec Director Elizabeth Varner stopped by Galesburg’s Evening News to talk about it on Friday.

She also talked with Cameron Line about various projects that her department has either finished up, is in the process of, or will undertake soon. Some of these include Hawthorne Pool, disc golf at Lake Storey, a potential park at Cooke School, and expanding pickleball offerings.
