Farm Talk: Tariffs, trends, ag innovations and more

In this episode of WGIL's Galesburg In Focus, Chris Postin talks with Jim Anderson of North-And Company, a Galva-based crop insurance and commodities brokerage firm, and Lance Tarochione, a technical agronomist with DEKALB and Asgrow under Bayer Cropscience.

Both Jim and Lance—who are also local farmers and University of Illinois alumni— share insights on the impact of Trump tariffs on national and local agriculture, trade with China, the Freedom to Operate and rising land prices. They also discuss the greatest agricultural innovations of the past 50 years.

Jim Anderson provides ag market updates every Wednesday on Galesburg's Morning News, while Lance Tarochione hosts "AgTalk" on Saturdays on WGIL and his YouTube podcast "Ask The Agronomist."
