Friends’ Book Sale: Galesburg’s literary treasure hunt unveiled

In this episode of Galesburg’s Morning News, Bobby Dillard, member, and Jeff Douglas, president of the Friends of the Galesburg Public Library, promote the upcoming Book Sale, held June 6-8, 2025. The event kicks off Friday with a 1-3 p.m. preview and free entry from 3-6 p.m., continues Saturday from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m., and concludes Sunday with a 1-5 p.m. $2 bag sale. Listeners learn about the Friends’ role in supporting library programs, how hundreds of books and media—spanning children’s titles, mysteries, sci-fi, biographies, foreign-language books, DVDs, CDs, and puzzles—are sourced, and who would enjoy the diverse selection. Douglas and Dillard highlight standout items, affordability, and ways to join the Friends to support future library initiatives.
