GHS Girls Down Washington to Finish Out The Galesburg Thanksgiving Shootout

In a game that was a make-up for the one originally scheduled for November 18 during the Galesburg Thanksgiving Shootout, the Silver Streaks girls basketball team scored their sixth straight win of the young season Tuesday night by defeating Washington, 43 - 33. With the victory, Coach Evan Massey notched his 998th win in his 45th year of coaching at Galesburg High School.

Seniors Antonia Kisler and Alexis Edgerson were both awarded the Dave's Auto Body Crunch-Time Player of the Game. Alexis kept the scoring alive in the 3rd quarter for the Streaks, and Antonia hit a clutch 3-pointer in the 4th and her free throw shooting helped cement the win down the stretch.

Moline is up next for the Silver Streaks girls Thursday (11/30) night. Live coverage from John Thiel Gym begins at 6:40pm with Tom Meredith and Erik Gibson on 93.7FM and 1400AM WGIL, and also streaming on wgil.com.
