The Galesburg Silver Streaks girl basketball team defeat the Sterling Golden Warriors, 46-28, in their first Western Big 6 matchup of the season Tuesday night. The Streaks rode an impressive first half to secure an 18-point victory. The Streaks are now 3-0 on the season and 1-0 in the conference.
Freshman Ella Herchenroder won her first Dave's Auto Body Crunch-Time Player of the Game, as she stepped up in the first half when the rest of the team was in foul trouble. She finished with 15 points (13 in the first half), 4 assists, and 1 rebound.
