Graham Health System’s New CEO Allison Sours on Growth and Rural Care

In this episode of WGIL’s Galesburg In Focus, Chris Postin speaks with Allison Sours, the new President & CEO of Graham Health System, at the Canton headquarters. Sours, who joined Graham in 2018 as Vice President of Quality and assumed the CEO role on Jan. 12, 2026, discusses the organization's strategic expansion into the Galesburg market to provide more patient choice in rural healthcare.

Sours highlights the Graham Center for Ambulatory Care in Galesburg, which offers specialty services like orthopedics, urology, and ENT, as well as Convenient Care that serves as a front door to the system. She notes the tremendous community reception and plans to add outpatient surgery and imaging by late summer 2026. Sours also addresses challenges like recruiting clinical staff and navigating insurance uncertainties, while emphasizing patient-first care.

The conversation covers Sours' Central Illinois roots, her community involvement with the St. Jude Run and Kiwanis, and the Graham Hospital Foundation's role in funding technology, scholarships, and initiatives like the "Evening in Red" event. Graham employs over 900 people across 13 locations serving Fulton, Mason, McDonough, Knox, and Peoria counties.
