Jacque Dare: Meet the new Knox County coroner

For the first time in 20 years, Knox County will have a new coroner. Republican Jacque Dare defeated Democrat Doug Sampson for the position of Knox County Coroner in Tuesday's General Election. Dare will be sworn into office on Dec. 2, meaning for the first time in 20 years, Mark Thomas will not hold the title.

Dare has been a patrol officer for the Knox County Sheriff’s Office for 18 years. She joined WGIL's Tyler Gumm and Jay Redfern on Galesburg's Morning News to discuss the transition and her new role.
