Lackluster Play Leads to Loss For Galesburg Silver Streaks Boys Against Limestone

Due to snow days and bitterly cold weather, the Galesburg boys basketball team had not played a game in almost two weeks when they faced the Limestone Rockets Tuesday night. The Silver Streaks just couldn't find a spark to match-up against Limestone, losing 66-38. Galesburg falls to 5 - 14 on the season.

Senior Jace Keith was named the Dave's Auto Body Crunch-Time Player of the Game. He scored 13-points, but just as important was his hustle and competitive attitude, attacking the rim and providing some great interior passing.

Next up for the Galesburg boys is a Western Big 6 conference game Friday (1/19) night versus the Rock Island Rocks. Brad Bennewitz and Jason Wessels will bring you the action from John Thiel Gym starting with the pregame at 6:40 PM on 93.7 FM & 1400 AM  WGIL, as well as streaming on wgil.com.
