Marching for Memory: Galesburg’s Memorial Day

Frances Hawthorne, organizer of the Galesburg Memorial Day Parade, and Gerald Wright, Korean War veteran and 2025 grand marshal, both from Knox County VFW Post 2257, joined Galesburg's Morning News to preview the parade, and the significance of Memorial Day.

The parade steps off at 10 a.m. Monday, May 26 in Downtown Galesburg, starting at Main and Chambers streets heading west on Main Street, and turning south on Cherry Street to the Knox County Courthouse.
