Ogre-sized Fun Returns: Previewing the Performing Arts Academy’s Shrek the Musical Jr.

There’s a whole lot of ogre-sized fun coming to the Orpheum Theatre this weekend.

Tim Holmes from the Performing Arts Academy, along with three talented actors, joined WGIL's Tyler Gumm and Jay Redfern to preview Shrek the Musical Jr! The show, packed with heart, humor, will be performed Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 2-4.

Student actors joining the interview were Noah Soper of ROWVA (Shrek), Kyah Taylor of Galesburg (Donkey) and Nevaeh Bickerton of United (Princess Fiona). Shrek the Musical Jr! is based on the DreamWorks Animation film and Broadway musical.

Performances are scheduled for Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Orpheum Theatre. Tickets can be purchased at the Orpheum box office in person or online at galesburgorpeum.org.
