The GHS Silver Streaks girls basketball suffered their first loss on the young season against Washington. The Panthers gave the Streaks their first loss as well in the Galesburg Thanksgiving Shootout Saturday night, 61-44.
Jozalyn Kilgore was named the Dave's Auto Body Crunch Time Player of the Game for her increased intensity in the 2nd half of the game, including three steals. She finished the night with 11 points.

The Galesburg Silver Streaks girls basketball team got another win in their second game of the Galesburg Thanksgiving Shootout. In a 10:30 Saturday morning game, the Streaks beat Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin, 48-17. Galesburg plays again in the tournament tonight (11/23/24) at 7:00 when they take on Washington.
Senior Josslyn Peck was awarded the Dave's Auto Body Crunch Time Player of the Game. She led the way early with 8 points to help give the Streaks the lead and they never looked back. Josslyn finished the game with 11 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals, and solid defensive play.
