Pippi Ardennia & Daniel Leahy — inside Sunday’s Orpheum benefit show

Musicians Pippi Ardennia and Daniel Leahy, who perform together as Pippi & Daniel Music, join a 10-piece group called The Experience Band this Sunday, Aug. 2, at 2 p.m., for a benefit concert at the Historic Orpheum Theatre in downtown Galesburg. The show, called “It’s Never Too Late,” is a fundraiser for the Orpheum’s Gift of Performance initiative, which uses ticket sales to fund seats for local nonprofit clients who might not otherwise get to experience live theater. Tickets are a minimum $20 donation.

Pippi Ardennia and Daniel Leahy joined Galesburg’s Morning News on Thursday, July 30, 2026, ahead of Sunday’s show. Listen to the full interview above.

They talked about:

  • How a $20 ticket to Sunday’s show sends someone else to a future Orpheum performance
  • The 10-piece band behind Sunday’s “It’s Never Too Late” theme
  • Their all-time musical idols, from Diana Ross to Oscar Peterson
  • A family milestone: their 7-year-old grandson Easton’s stage debut, and the secret song he’s kept even from us
