The Galesburg High School Silver Streaks football team got their first win of the season on the road in a hard-earned, well-played game against the Limestone Rockets, 42 - 25.  The Streaks even their season at 1-1.

Galesburg finished with 144-yards on the ground, 186-yards passing and 333-yards of total offense. Grady Hickey completed 10 of 20 passes with one touchdown. Antwon Walker had five receptions for 79-yards. Bradley Eaton grabbed two catches for 54-yards, including a 44-yard catch and run for a touchdown. Ayden Clark finished with 2 receptions for 36-yards, and Kevin Phillips had one reception for 16 yards. On the ground, it was Corey McGee leading the way with 18 carries for 62-yards and a touchdown. Overall the Streaks had five rushing touchdowns including two for Eaton, who had four carries for ten yards, two for Prosper Aremu late in the game with eight carries for 45-yards. And Hickey ran the ball six times for 30-yards. Most of the game was penalty free for the Streaks, except early in the game when they were flagged four times for 43-yards in penalties.

Galesburg's Bradley Eaton was named the Dave's Autobody Crunch Time Player of the Game for the 2-point conversion which gave the Streaks the lead and the momentum out of the half. He had a lot of other big plays in the game, including a rushing touchdown and the passing play to ice the game.

It's Homecoming next Friday (9/12) night for the Silver Streaks as they host United Township.
