The Galesburg High School Silver Streaks football team was shut-out on the road at Sterling Friday night, 48 - 0. The Streaks are now 2 - 3 on the season and 1 - 2  in the Western Big 6 Conference.

The Streaks didn't have a single running play in the second half, everything was through the air for the most part when they did have the ball. Galesburg was mostly on defense due to three turnovers in the second half, a fumble and 2 interceptions, so they didn't run hardly any offensive plays. The Streaks finish with −36 yards on the ground. Grady Hickey finished with 125 yards passing, 14 of 23 overall with 2 interceptions. Ayden Clark ends up with the most yardage overall. He, Bradley Eaton and Antwon Walker all had 4 receptions, Clark with 44 yards receiving, Walker with 43 yards and Eaton with 39 yards. Demetrius Watson had a couple of catches for 5 yards.

Early on when the game was still in reach, Ayden Clark had some highlight plays and was named the Dave's Autobody Crunch Time Player of the Game. His first three receptions were first downs, and he did have a catch in the end zone, but the play was called back due to a penalty. Ayden is being targeted more frequently and is definitely a weapon for the Streaks.

The Freshman team fell as well in the early game, 51 -0.

The Silver Streaks are at home next Friday (10/03) night as they take on Geneseo for the "Give Back Galesburg Glow Game".
