The Silver Streaks traveled to Sterling Friday night for their conference opener. The hosts jumped out in front taking just 1:34 to find the end zone, en route to 45-0 halftime lead and a 45-14 victory. The Streaks fell to 1-3 while the Golden Warriors improved to 2-2.
Jamar Range led Galesburg with 127 yards rushing on 15 carries and 2 touchdowns. Gino Williams intercepted a pass for the third straight game, his fifth on the season.
The Dave's Autobody Player of the Game was senior Jamari McDonald who had a sack and two tackles for a loss. The Streaks return home next Friday night for the homecoming game against Geneseo.
