The Galesburg Silver Streaks boys basketball team fell to the Moline Maroons Friday night, 79 -48. The Streaks are now 4-7 on the season and 0-4 in the Western Big 6, and Moline moves to 9-1 on the season.
The Streaks were 19 of 45 from the field, had 20 rebounds, 8 assists, but 21 turnovers. Jackson Crock Sibbing led in the scoring for Galesburg with 13 points, followed by Demetrius Watson with 12, and Kellan Oxley with 8 points. The Maroons were 30 of 51 from the field, 10 of 22 from three-point range, and had five players in double figures in the game.
Demetrius Watson scored his varsity career-high with 12 points, all in the 3rd quarter, and achieved his first career double-double with also getting 10 rebounds and was named the Dave's Auto Body Crunch Time Player of the Game!
