REPLAY: GHS Silver Streaks boys basketball vs Burlington

The Galesburg Silver Streaks boys basketball team came back from 13 points to defeat the Burlington Grayhounds, 62-53. After a sluggish first half, the Streaks found themselves down 47-34 in the third quarter; however, they outscored Burlington 28-6 the rest of the way to improve their record to 5-2 on the season.

The Streaks were led in scoring by Cesaire Bile with 20 points. Keigen Crummer notched a double-double with 14 points and 10 assists. Rahkim McCellan scored 5 second half points to finish with 7 on the night and Stone Thiel finished with 6. The Streaks went 23 of 60 from the field, 8 of 24 from three-point, and 8 of 10 from the line. Galesburg had 32 rebounds and 20 assists on 13 turnovers.

The broadcast crew awarded both Cesaire Bile and Keigen Crummer as the Dave's Auto Body Crunch Time Players of the Game. The pair only missed two shots from the field as they were a huge part in Galesburg's rally from behind. Bile added 8 rebounds to his 20 points, and Crummer had 4 rebounds and 5 steals along with his 14 points and 10 assists.

The Silver Streaks will return to Western Big 6 Conference play with a Friday night matchup at Quincy. Brad Bennewitz and Jason Wessels will bring you the action starting with the pregame at 6:40pm on 93.7 FM and 1400 AM WGIL as well as wgil.com.
