The Galesburg Silver Streaks fell to the host DeKalb Barbs in their second game of the Chuck Dayton Holiday Classic, 49-39. The affair was tight in the first half with Galesburg eventually getting out to 8 point halftime lead; however, the Streaks could not get a rhythm going in the second half as they scored just 15 points. With the loss, the Silver Streaks fall to 1-1 in tournament play and are 6-5 overall.

Rahkim McCellan got things going off the bench in the first half that helped sparked the Streaks. He led the team in scorning with 9 points and finished with 3 steals and a rebound to be named the Dave's Auto Body Crunch Time Player of the Game. Jaxon Wyatt finished with 7 points and 7 rebounds, and Stone Thiel got every one of his 6 points in the second half. The Streaks went 16 of 42 from the field, 3 of 15 from deep, and 4 of 7 from the line. Galesburg finished the game with 27 rebounds, 13 assists and 22 turnovers.
